A gardening fork is an ideal tool for loosening soil and cleaning the beds. Well rakes can be also a necessary for your gardening mission. For leveling soil and removing unwanted materials metal rakes can be helpful. I suggested metal because it is durable and it will not bend. On the other hand plastic fan style rakes will help in leaf cleanup.

To avoid getting kinks on it get a reel to store it on when not in use. A garden wand is good for watering seedlings or hanging basket as well as new plants, it helps to reach difficult places and it also supply stream of water uniformly which ca n prove to be softer for the younger delicate plants.

Another important gardening tool is pruning shears, it is very useful for trimming bushes and shrubs. As pruning is important for making your shrubs bushy, therefore it is not advisable to leave this off your list. Generally there are two types of fertilizer spreaders which are used in gardening they are broadcast spreaders and drop spreaders.

Those who have larger lawn or gardens or acreage a broadcast spreader are perfect for them. Thogh broadcast spreaders covers a lot of territory but on the other hand they lack control as because for the spinning disc which drops the material from the spreader doesn’t always in a uniform way it puts it out. Though the area around the broadcast spreader gets fertilized the most while on the other hand the outlying areas are harder to get done evenly. If you notice then you will find that a broadcast spreaders thrown seeds and fertilizer way are sometimes off target at times. Since there is a tendency of even in spots when the coverage is done with a broadcast spreader but some experts say that you should go over the lawn again.

You will always found a mixed result about the broadcast spreaders. On the other hand drop spreaders certainly do not waste any fertilizer as because it will be dropped straight out of the hopper in a line form. You will get a quality coverage in much smaller area than with the broadcast spreader because the width of the hopper is the exact amount of space that is covered by the drop spreader which means the profit which is mentioned.

Through the root system feeds grass plants in a natural way. There are some granular products which are specially coated so that it can provide a time release effect, and the time release properties of the granular pellets provides longer term benefits to the health of the grass plant and have a low burn potential. On the other hand side the slow release will provide a long term benefits but with fewer applications.

People like greenery, not everyone has a garden in their home or backyard, and you also don`t need to have a large garden with full of flower beds to fulfill your wish or to enjoy the wonderful colours of plants during the spring and summer. All you need is the desire and wish so by using hanging or wall baskets even in a patio garden you can create a colorful display. Hanging baskets are nice to look, they are nothing unusual but designed to hang from a wall bracket or from under an overhang, on the other hand wall baskets have a flat side so that the half round basket can be fitted to a wall - wall baskets have advantages over hanging baskets where the position is exposed to the wind and can be lower mounted for easy maintenance.

Hanging and wall baskets are available in the market so you can easily buy ready planted hanging and wall baskets, so you need to do after buying is just hang them up and keep them watered if you want you can make make your own basket using your favorite trailing and bedding plants which is easy to make.

Hanging basket frames are either mad of metal or plastic, they usually include three chains attached so that it can be suspended. Wall baskets are also made of either plastic or metal and are available.

Do remember that before you start filling a basket, be sure that the basket is in a stable position.

Before you start planting line the basket . Some baskets come pre-lined, or you could use a pre-formed liner. To reduce watering requirements you can add a polythene lining at the base of the baskets . Fill the basket with half of some hanging basket compost. After that press the compost into the basket and make several slits in the liner around the upper edges of the basket.

In the middle of the basket plant one or two fair sized plants. Arrange trailing plants around the edge of the basket such as trailing fuchsia, lobelia. After that thread the root ball through the slits in the polythene so that the stems comfortably hang over the edge.

After you are done with planting then soak the basket thoroughly and allow it to drain, then to enable the plants to become established keep the compost damp and then leave the basket for a couple of week in a position out of the wind.

Make the mounting bracket strong and firm before putting the basket in position because a well watered hanging basket is quite heavy.

The amount of watering required totally depend on where the basket is positioned, even of it is not directly under the sun
