every food that we eat should come from Organic Farming. i really get scared about those toxins coming from chemical fertilizers and chemical pesticides. I only eat foods which are certified that they are organically grown

Trying to find a good mixture of supernatural nutrients to ripen/feed my tomato plants. They are in a flood and drain system, and are about 5 feet tall with hundreds of tomatoes, but they are staying small. And slow developing. The plants appear healthy, any help ? Tnx, Ric in Houston BC.

Hi,
I have been growing naranjilla plants for a few years in South Florida. My plants produce a lot of fruit. The plants themselves are also very large.

The only problem I have is that the fruit is a lot smaller than the naranjillas I found in Ecuador. They also are solid seeds. There is no pulp.

Maybe I will try to buy some seeds where you bought yours. I bought my plants initially through an online nursery. I am wondering if my plants are not the same ones that produce nice large naranjilla as in Ecuador.

As you know they block me from bringing back seeds when I travel to Ecuador.

I have started the website naranjillas.com. I am looking to grow and sell the fruit over time. There is nothing like fresh naranjilla juice. The frozen stuff has a lot to be desired.

You missed a major point. Yes you want to measure the brix of leaves as it gives important clues about how the plant is doing during the growing process.

More importantly you need to check the brix of produce, as compared to the leaves, and check what you are growing compared to what you can buy. Then you need to check the reading against a brix chart (see http://www.highbrixgardens.com/highbrix/Refractive%20Index%20of%20Crop%20Juices.pdf)check the quality of what you are producing in regards to its mineral density impact on health.
